Biography

Yongxia (Sunny) Wang is bilingual (Mandarin / English) and licensed to practice law in New York. Before joining Tinsman & Sciano, Sunny gained her LL.M. and J.S.D. degrees at Washington University School of Law in St. Louis and her bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees of laws at Peking University (北京大学) Law School. In addition to being an associate professor at a Chinese law school, Sunny was also a visiting professor at St. Mary’s University School of Law. Through more than two decades of studying and researching, Sunny has attained good knowledge of both Chinese laws and American laws, especially the field of torts law.

While pursuing her J.S.D degree, Sunny interned at the Fourth Court of Appeals in San Antonio, Texas. At Justice Patricia O Alvarez’s chamber, Sunny worked on cases involving contracts law, property law, and oil and gas law. Her work was highly appreciated by Justice Alvarez and her staff attorney, Matt Compton. Through this valuable experience and writing her doctoral dissertation, Sunny has developed a deep understanding of the rule of law in America, which prepared her to be a good counsel not only in domestic cases but also in cases involving immigrants, aliens, and international businesses.
